ABOUT THE SOCIETY

Society for Quiz is a newly established constituent society of the University Institute of Legal Studies, Panjab University, Chandigarh. Though the founding members of the Society are engaged in conducting many online quizzes from September last year, it was established as a full-fledged society in May 2021 under the able guidance of Dr. Rajinder Kaur, Director, University Institute of Legal Studies, Panjab University, Chandigarh and Dr. Pushpinder Kaur, Associate Professor-cum- Faculty In-charge of Society for Quiz, University Institute of Legal Studies, Panjab University, Chandigarh. The Society owes its existence to the vital role played by the quizzes in the learning process. Considering how promising the quizzes are in terms of expanding the horizons of one’s knowledge and improving the efficiency of mind, the Society is completely devoted to organizing various types of quizzes throughout the year, both online and offline. Also, to keep the spirit of competition alive, the Society aims not to limit itself to its home institution but also to reach out to the students throughout the nation. Furthermore, believing in the potential of the quiz as an activity to raise general awareness, the Society is also unrestricted in its choice of topics for the quizzes and is not limited merely to the topics of the law. 

VACANT POSITIONS AND ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE

TREASURER

i.                    The Students must be pursuing BA.LLB(H)/B.Com. LLB(H)- 3^rd/ 4^th year from the University Institute of Legal Studies, Panjab University, Chandigarh.

ii.                  The Students must be capable of handling all the financial matters related to society.

iii.                The student must not be a part of any other committee/society of UILS while being in this position.

i.                    The Students must be pursuing BA.LLB(H)/B.Com. LLB(H)- 2^nd/ 3^rd /4^th year from the University Institute of Legal Studies, Panjab University, Chandigarh.

ii.                  The Students must be capable of handling all matters related to logistics support related to society.

iii.                The student must know Google/ Microsoft Forms in addition to other platforms like Mentimeter, FlexiQuiz, etc. suitable for organizing quizzes.

iv.                The Students must not be a part of more than 1 committee in UILS.

HEAD- SOCIAL MEDIA & ADVERTISING SUB-COMMITTEE

i.                    The Students must be pursuing BA.LLB(H)/B.Com. LLB(H)- 2^nd/ 3^rd/4^th year from the University Institute of Legal Studies, Panjab University, Chandigarh.

ii.                  The Students must be capable of promoting the events of the society on Websites and social media.

iii.                The Students must possess sound knowledge about handling Social Media Apps.

iv.                The Students must not be a part of more than 1 committee in UILS.

i.                    The Students must be pursuing BA.LLB(H)/B.Com. LLB(H)- 2^nd/ 3^rd year from the University Institute of Legal Studies, Panjab University, Chandigarh.

ii.                  The Students must not be a part of more than 1 committee in UILS.

      ii.            The student must be creative and know about designing posters

RULES FOR APPLYING FOR VACANT POSTS

        i.            Student must be pursuing BA.LLB(H)/ B. Com. LLB(H) from University Institute of Legal Studies, Panjab University, Chandigarh.

      ii.            Students can apply for the vacant posts by filling up the below-mentioned G Form:

    iii.            Students have to attach (a) Resume (Not more than 3 Pages) (b) Any University Proof of enrollment which can include ID Card, Semester Examination Form, Semester Fee Form, etc.

    iv.            One Students can only apply for two posts in total.

      v.            The candidates will be shortlisted based on their resume and statement of interest (250 words- to be filled up in G Form).

    vi.            The short-listed candidates will then be interviewed for final enrollment into the Society.

  vii.            The the last date of filling up this form is June 26, 2021 (Saturday).
