How Did You Apply?

I applied for the internship by sending my CV attached with a Cover Letter at salmanwaris@techlegis.com.  I got a reply from employ of the firm Sabina Gusain within a day with an Offer Letter to join the internship. I instantly replied in affirmative.

First Day

As Covid had taken over the world with a surge my first day happened to be on my reading desk yet filled with nervousness and enthusiasm for the new endeavor .I was introduced to the partner of the firm Mr.Salman Waris who was not only my future mentor but now has become my guide for life who I admire whole heartedly. The firm is totally surrounded with helpful and kind people. I interacted with Salman Sir, who was immensely humble and pumped me for the journey with his motivational words. He introduced me to other office staff and the working of the office.

Internship Experience

My internship experience under Salman sir has been educational and incredibly valuable. This internship offered me dynamics of the corporate world. I was surprised at the amount of research and learning it offered and how it left me with great impacts about the corporate biosphere. The learning about the practical aspects of legal firm came smooth during the course of this internship as it was made easy with the constant support and guidance of Salman Sir. This internship gave me an opportunity to explore new ideas , to process and produce them in a  professional way. I learnt so much about litigation and other procedures from this internship. 

Legal research was my main pursue in this internship. I worked on various assignments that were delegated to me on Technology Law, Cyber security Law, Privacy, Intellectual Property, Corporate law, Arbitration and Contract Law. These were the area that were not my cup of tea and seemed a bit intimidating to pursue. But eventually during the internship I was able to acquire their basic concepts and detailed researched helped me to grasp in-depth knowledge of these subjects.  I also assisted in drafting various Regulatory Updates, Legal Notices, Briefings notes, Case reports and Litigation Updates. Every task in this internship was an experience not less than being a professional lawyer. Having Salman Sir’s guidance at every second was blessing indeed. He treated me with great concern and more like family. It was a fascinating learning experience for me. Salman Sir is an example of being a picture-perfect mentor and senior. Working at TechLegis Advocates & Solicitors was thought-provoking , exciting and never tiring.
