How Did You Apply?

I got to know about the procedure to apply for an internship in Curare Legal via the firm’s website. I mailed my CV to internships@curarelegal.com and got a confirmation within 1 month of the date of my internship application. 

First Day Formalities, Infrastructure, First Impression

Since it was an online internship, I didn’t visit the office. Instead, I reported to Esha Ma’am at 10 am on my first day via Email. 

Main Tasks

The tasks assigned by the Partners and Associates were mostly research-oriented. An internship in Curare Legal will provides one with enough exposure to Constitutional Matters, Service Matters, Tax Laws, Commercial Disputes, etc. My first task centered around researching judgments on Reservation in Promotion. Later on, I was assigned a series of tasks pertaining to Service Matters. Apart from that, I was supposed to conduct research on TDS provisions for NRIs. I was also asked to prepare a Legal Opinion pertaining to a service matter. 

Work Environment

Of all my internships so far, I found the work environment in Curare Legal to be the most suitable to me. Partners and Associates of the firm guide interns about the concerned task in great detail. Hence, it becomes easy for interns to grasp the gist of the issue and conduct efficient research. I never had any second thoughts whenever I had a query pertaining to a task. All my queries were answered and that too in great detail. One can learn a lot while interning in Curare Legal. 

The positive work environment at the firm encourages interns to work even better.
